Mama Inventions, Papa Ones Too

We have been thinking about how this time with Natalia may breed some great ideas.  I mean, you all hear it, the stay at home parent, makes a brainy inventions, gets rich, stays home forever...... hmm.
These inventions have come to mind and are presently under patent consideration- so no stealing, folks.
Bottles need to have on the plastic part black and white rings to provide a contrasting view of delight for baby.  These are daytime bottles, only.
Then, for the night time feeding when you are at about 6 weeks of sleep deprivation there are the glue on eyeballs you attach to the top of your eyelids.  So that when your eyes are guiltily closed at late night feedings, your own customized eyeball stickers, are staring down at baby.  These we call the Guilt Free Glancers.  FYI... not coming back to work.  :)

Kitchen Time and Hanging with the Grandparents

We have been busy in Natalia's world.  However, we have been careful to remember through the exhaustion of busy-ness what is most important and we are thankful for our healthy and loving parents, Natalia's grandparents.  Natalia is completely at ease with them all and finds herself not lacking for proud grandparents.  I love them all.

Getting Older and Changing, Already

I noticed today and a little bit last night, that Natalia has developed some serious skills she did not have a week ago.  Here is a list of some of the things that little purples has been doing, that seem different.
She sees the bottle coming and locks in on it.  She can see further and looks up to follow the bird
mobile above the couch.  She is beginning to non-gas, smile.  She has some neck muscles, now.
She is able to hold her head up for a second, nice and steady.  She is starting to coo.  She turns her head to our voices.  So interesting.

Halloween, already!

Halloween costume has already been picked out.  We laughed so hard at Natalia's crazy outfit yesterday night that it haunted us around 1:00am when she paid us back for luaghing at her.

Natalia is going to go as Ernie and take her sidekick, Bup.  They are going to go as Bup and Ernie!

Again, we were laughing so hard, we got our first intentional series of consecutive smiles from sweetcheeks!

One Month, Already!

One month ago, Natalia came into our lives.  This day, today, one month spot, marks a most important milestone.  Today, Natalia is one month old, alive still, and thriving.  Yea!  She is a happy baby, way chill, and loves her Papa.  To celebrate her one month, we all went out to Kathy and Aldo's for a photo morning, and hanging out with the Risolvo's.  Natalia still sleeps a lot.  But, Baby G, our future master of mischeif, aka Sidekick of Fun, was there and kept us entertained- kid style.

Flowers from Papa sit on the table and offered a super contrasting set of natural things to look at.  We considered the robot rocker, but decided- not our style.  So, Natalia's one month celbration gift was a trip to the Botanical Gardens and the testing out of her new wheels- The City MIni Stroller.  I think I am more excited about the City MIni than she is- go figure!

Things Natalia Loves

One favorite thing that is interesting, is Natalia's obsession with Degas' dancers sculptures.   Every visit to the changing table is the same for the last few days.... stop in your tracks silence, eyes bug out, and then a staring session ending with a  final reach for the pictures.  We added the Eiffel Tower, too and this seems to be a fine runner up photo.
Then we like our map because every day we add a new picture of people we find and post them by their location.  So far, I have made it through one album.  Keep yourselves posted or send a photo to put on the map.                                                                              Then, Natalia really likes girls vs. boy
Scrabble followed by an evening bath time and
hair sculpting.  I don't know about you all, but this little gal loves to get her hair washed!
Finally, Natalia really loves afternoon naptime with a sleeping Mama or Papa with a Bup greeting her every morning in the rising sunbeam light!

A Few More Firsts

Grandpa came for a visit this Sunday.  He held her for an extended period of time, cuddling up comfortably with another wrapped up Natalia!  He loved her and he loved it. Just check out his grin!

Then, last night we decided it was and had to be time to start the first bath.  So, thanks to Noah's WI relatives, we had the proper robe equipment to keep her warm.  We cranked the heat and hit the sink with some warm waters, shampoo, and lots of kisses.  Bup waited outside the closed door, dying to know what was going on inside the bathroom.  At the end of a successful bath time, Bup came on in and we all remarked, "Look the whole family is here in the downstairs manvcave bathroom.  This is definitely different!"  Natalia liked the bath at first, then didn't like it, then liked it again.  One thing she does love is her Papa's soothing voice and a hairwashing.  She is totally into it!
